Following on from studying skeletons, the next step was to study and understand muscles. This allows me to create the structures and mechanics of figures and characters. We where given a 2 week timeline to complete all this. First week is to be sketching and research on the muscles.
Once again, I used the 'Anatomy lessons from the Great Masters' book, simply because it is the best source I could find not only to study the muscles, but to draw them.

Like my skeleton sketches, I used pencil to draw these and made notes of what the muscles are called and where they are located in the human body.
